Mike Davies
Biography
In 1980, mike davies started playing piano and synthysizer. He was very impressed of Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Michiel van der Kuy (koto). This was maybe the beginning of his interest in legendary synthysizer and drum computers.
After 10 years of being student in a music school, he started his career being a keyboarder in a dance- and showband. He toured with the band all over Germany but meanwhile he started also producing minimal techno with his old atari computer.
In 1996 he decided to work together with DJ Riddler in an own studio. They called it "Dark-Noize"-Studio and started producing trance tracks, influenced by sounds of faithless "insomnia" and bbe "seven days and one week".
In the end of 1996 they had their first release on the label "Music Research" of Talla 2xLC. The project was called "Reference II" and it was very successful in the club scene. Two years later they started working together with A.S.Y.S. (Frank Ellrich / Tracid Traxx) and Christian Weber. Diffferent projects and tracks followed and with their uplifting and progressive trance style they impressed the european club scene.
Mike Davies discribes himself as a guy with a mission. He wants to bring the people maximum quality and perfect dance sounds. He calls it "club-dedicating without an end". To know what the crowd wants and to do a perfect DJ job, that is his real mission and the minimum, he expects from himself. No „one hit wonders“, just consistent pure music with quality.
The substance is the important.
