Biography

Giorgio Ponticelli was born in Milan, Italy in 1979. He was always interested in music but he started producing only in 1996, after three years of training he got his first deal with the italian label "Dieffepublishing/Progressive Force" and he released his first record "The Moon And The Sun" under the Doktor Noize DJ guise. Soon after that he was requested to produce a great amout of tracks for some top-selling Italian trance compilations and one of them became his next single. In 2000 he formed the Cellmates project with the danish producers Jesper Buch and Rune Risom, together they produced a few tracks. One of them (a remix of the 80's classic "Died in your arms") was released through Flex Records as a promo version, entered the danish charts. Giorgio's real breakthrough came in 2001 when the German Boost Records released his biggest anthem to date called "Trance Unity", a storming trance track that got played by all the biggest DJs and was released on all the most important compilations. In the same year Giorgio performed at two of the world's most important events: LoveParade (in Berlin) in front of hundreds of thousands of poeple, and NatureOne (in Huensrueck) making the Raveline floor go crazy to his techno-trance beats.

During the last two years the italian DJ has played at many clubs around the world in countries like the U.S.A, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Spain and, of course, his homecountry Italy. In 2003 Giorgio started his first radio program "The Subtraxx Experience", representing the Subtraxx producers collective and after successfully hosting the first two seasons he has now created his own show called "Frequencies" that broadcasts on one of the Internet's biggest radio networks, namely Digitally Imported Radio. Recently Giorgio was honoured of presenting the official TranceSpain (http://www.trancespain.com) radio-festival. He is also the brain behind the legendary event "The World In The Mix", which is about to be presented in its fourth episode during the next season.
