The Company

In the Year 2003 three German producers - Talec, DJ Riddler and Mike Davies - decided to create their own label Dark-Noize-Recordings.

This idea was the result of their long cooperation during the last few years. It was important for them, to publish their own styles and they also wanted to create a platform for young producers to give them the chance of a real future in the music business. When the Homepage was online and the Techno Scene recognized DNR, the results were very positive. DJs and producers all over the globe contacted DNR to release their productions. Very close to this, new cooperations and deals with Labels like Media Records and ZYX Music were done. At the end of of 2004, Chris Schaefer joined the DNR Team who is responsible for the DJ pool as well as the Media- and Dealer support. Chris had worked for Radio stations such as HR XXL (Clubnight, now YOU FM) and sunshine live (the only and most well-known Radio-Dance station in Germany) so far and was therefore due to extensive experiences and contacts within the media industry the best choice for this job.

In March 2005 the first Record on DNR was released that just like the second release climb up straight on #1 of the Swiss DJ Charts. After three No.1s and several Top10 placements in the Swiss DJ Charts, as well as Tracks in the Top30 of the German Dance Charts and also Top20 placements in the IDP Dutch Dance Charts, the releases of DNR are are meanwhile kind of in the bags of DJs like: Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn, Rank1, Above & Beyond, Robert Gitelman, Mark Sherry, M.I.K.E., DJ Precision, DJ Choose, Michael Splint, Pedro del Mar, Talla 2XLC and many more Top Jocks. Also considerable Artists like Solid Haze, Freek Geuze, Joni Ljunqvist and Michael Splint meanwhile signed deals with DNR.

The year 2006 catapulted DNR a step closer to the best and well-known Trance Labels. After successful releases such as Yourdee vs. Tom Glide – Sleeper, which gets innumerable supports not only in the Trance Scene, the Follow Up Singles of Joni Ljungqvist, Mark Versluis and Freek Geuze rose the attention inexorably. Finally the late summer hymn of Marninx pres Ecco – Intuition obtained the merciless break-through for DNR. With a singular Remix of Mr. Martin Roth, even Armin van Buuren could not leave his fingers of this Track for over 3 months and kept it on continuous rotation in his sets.

The Year 2007 just started and the top of the iceberg isn’t reached yet, because the team around DNR proved the last 2 years throughout to possess that certain intuitive feeling for the current sound.
